A sorter with rotary wheels, as a rule, consists of a belt or roller conveyor equipped with sorting modules in certain places along its length. The modules have integrated drive wheels mounted just above the height of the belt. The products usually pass through the wheels of the sorting module without difficulty. If necessary, the drive wheels can be rotated to redirect loads to the output conveyor.
Due to the design features of this sorter, it is extremely important that the products have a solid, flat bottom.
The minimum size of products that can be processed on the sorter is 100 mm wide and 150 mm long with a maximum unit weight of 50 kg. Usually, smaller products are sorted in trays.
